Deleting Your Account

Permanently delete your RecoHub account and all associated data.

Warning: This Cannot Be Undone

Deleting your account permanently removes all your data including collections, products, analytics, and settings. This action cannot be reversed.

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives:

  • Make your hub private - Hide it without deleting (Settings → Hub Visibility)
  • Cancel your subscription - Keep your account but stop paying
  • Archive collections - Temporarily hide content
  • Take a break - Your account costs nothing when inactive

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your profile and personal information
  • All collections and products
  • All resources and links
  • Analytics data and history
  • Hub customizations
  • Your username (becomes available for others)

What Happens to Paid Collections

If you have active paid collections:

  • Buyers lose access - Consider refunding recent purchases
  • No automatic refunds - You're responsible for refunding buyers through Stripe
  • Revenue is yours - Already paid earnings remain in your Stripe account

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Cancel any active paid subscriptions first (Dashboard → Billing)
  2. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Security
  3. Scroll to "Delete Account" section
  4. Click "Delete My Account"
  5. Enter your password to confirm
  6. Type "DELETE" to verify
  7. Click final confirmation

After Deletion

  • You're immediately logged out
  • Your hub becomes inaccessible
  • Your username becomes available
  • Data deletion completes within 30 days
  • Some data may be retained for legal/financial compliance

Can I Recover My Account?

No. Once deleted, accounts cannot be recovered. You would need to create a new account from scratch.

Export Your Data First

Before deleting, consider exporting your content and analytics for your records. Once deleted, this data is gone forever.
